Paul Pettipas honoured for bringing Canadian Home Builders Association Conference to Halifax
Halifax, March 26, 2015 – On March 10, Paul Pettipas, Chief Executive Officer of the Nova Scotia Home Builders’ Association, was presented a Destination Halifax Ambassador Award for his work helping to bring the Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA) National Conference back to Halifax after 17 years.
“As an avid supporter of all that Halifax and Nova Scotia can be, Paul was diligent in his pursuit of this opportunity to profile the destination on a national scale,” said Patricia Lyall, President and CEO, Destination Halifax.
The Association’s 72nd conference ran March 4 to March 6, 2015, at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel. The 450 delegates participated in sessions on Canada’s economy and housing markets. Guest speakers included Ken Schmidt, former Director of Communications for Harley-Davidson and David Chilton, author of The Wealthy Barber and The Wealthy Barber Returns, and a “Dragon” on CBC TV’s Dragons’ Den. Offsite activities included visits to Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Alexander Keith’s Nova Scotia Brewery and a housing tour of Halifax.
“I wanted the 2015 conference to be the home building event of the year,” said Pettipas. “I believe we achieved that.”
