Stone Temple Pilots in Concert

Visitors to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia will have the opportunity to admire the impressive works- ceramic, bronze, plaster and steel sculptures, as well as works on paper – of artist Joe Fafard.
Organized by the NGC in partnership with Regina’s MacKenzie Art Gallery, Joe Fafard is the artist’s first major retrospective, covering a period of more than forty years.

Symphony Nova Scotia Celebrity Series: Inspired Romantics

Join the orchestra for an exploration of classical connections.
German pianist Florian Uhlig, known for his individual and imaginative style, performs Mendelssohn's lighthearted Piano Concerto no. 1.
Then, we'll hear Charles Gounod's Symphony no. 1 -- inspired by Mendelssohn's brilliant older sister, Fanny.
Finally, Gounod's operas influenced the work of Tchaikovsky, whose glorious Serenade provides an appetizer for the upcoming Tchaikovsky Festival.
The concert begins at 7:30pm.
