Free Diversity Spotlight film screening and Canadian premiere of the international award-winning Nollywood film, The Mirror Boy. The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

Stone Temple Pilots in Concert

Visitors to the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia will have the opportunity to admire the impressive works- ceramic, bronze, plaster and steel sculptures, as well as works on paper – of artist Joe Fafard.
Organized by the NGC in partnership with Regina’s MacKenzie Art Gallery, Joe Fafard is the artist’s first major retrospective, covering a period of more than forty years.

The In the Dead of Winter festival is an acoustic based festival that will be held in Halifax annually in February. The goal of the festival is to bring a diverse group of acoustic musicians together to not only perform but to also meet one another in a professional environment. The festival aims to showcase the diversity of acoustic music in the Atlantic Region, Canada, and the United States. It is of particular importance to the festival to not only celebrate the excellence of our musicians but to also provide venues for artists who have not yet had the opportunity to perform their music to a wider audience.

Jeremy Hotz is a Canadian actor and stand-up comedian. He has appeared on Comedy Central Presents, the Just For Laughs comedy festival, The Late Show with David Letterman, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He has also worked as a staff writer for Paramount's The Jon Stewart Show and has appeared in various American and Canadian motion pictures including: My Favorite Martian, Speed 2:Cruise Control, and "Married Life."
