Free Diversity Spotlight film screening and Canadian premiere of the international award-winning Nollywood film, The Mirror Boy. The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

From the founding of the of the city and shipwrecks in the harbour, to daring nighttime escapes during war and the Halifax Explosion, ferry passengers will experience Halifax's history in a unique and exciting way. As you travel on the oldest salt water ferry service in North America, sit back and let Jack Tar and the gang take you back in time.
