The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

The age-old tale of boy-meets-girl, and the complications which ensue, intrigue every audience, and no musical puts it on stage better than ANYTHING GOES. This show is an amusing story wrapped around one of Cole Porter's magical scores.
Terrific Cole Porter songs include It's De-Lovely, Friendship, I Get A Kick Out Of You, All Through The Night, Anything Goes, You're The Top and Blow, Gabriel, Blow. It's a wonder that all the romances are sorted out and disaster is averted aboard the magical ship where ANYTHING GOES!

14th Annual Chronicle Herald Holiday Parade of Lights

The 14th Annual Chronicle Herald Holiday Parade of Lights will be winding its way through Downtown Halifax once again with festive floats, twinkling lights and smiling spectators.
The Parade begins on Upper Water Street at Cornwallis Street, continues over the Barrington Street overpass onto Barrington Street and turns right onto Spring Garden Road. It then turns left on South Park and then right onto University Avenue, concluding at the corner of University Avenue and Robie Street. Parents are reminded to keep children off the street and on the sidewalk at all times.
The parade will begin at 6pm rain or shine.
