Free Diversity Spotlight film screening and Canadian premiere of the international award-winning Nollywood film, The Mirror Boy. The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

Symphony Nova Scotia Celebrity Series: Janina's Chopin to Beethoven's Eighth

Celebrate the 200th anniversary of Chopin's birth with Symphony Nova Scotia.
Pianist Janina Fialkowska, a "born Chopin interpreter" (Arthur Rubenstein), joins the orchestra to perform the composer's bold and imaginative Piano Concerto no. 2.
The orchestra also performs Beethoven's boisterous "little Symphony in F."
This performance will begin at 7:30pm.
This concert will also be performed on Sunday, February 7 as part of the Symphony Sundays Series.
