The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

Bud and his grandson-in-law Paul are going on a road trip from Calgary to Bud's retirement trailer in Mesa, Arizona. Paul is hoping the adventure of the trip will lift him out of his writer's block. Bud is hell-bent on visiting his favorite Motel 6 haunts along the way, and isn't willing to veer off the beaten path.
Written by Canadian playwright Doug Curtis, Mesa follows these unlikely travel companions as their often comic disagreements make way for a heartfelt friendship.

Evolution Extreme Action Sports Tour

The event combines three of the top extreme fundamentals BMX, Freestyle Snowcross, and Freestyle Motocross. The Evolution Tour was conceived to showcase the roots of Extreme Sports and the ever popular Back Flip variations showing the evolution of the sport which was founded by BMX in the early 70’s. The tour will also combine music with the three sports in a way that will have fans out of their seats. The International tour will be showcasing top Freestyle BMX, Freestyle Snowcross, and Freestyle Motocross athletes from ESPN’s Winter and Summer X Games in a two part event.
Each event will be composed of a competition style where each athlete will perform 60 seconds on an oval track. The track is composed of two 60 foot steel ramp to ramp setups with a centre floor BMX Freestyle Ramp.
Freestyle BMX, Motocross and Snowcross riders will electrify the audience with their death-defying display of aerial acrobatics like nothing fans have ever seen before. Fans will see the world famous Back Flips, Super Flips, Tsunami, Corpse, Superman Seat grabs, Whips, Super Indy Can's and much more.
Tickets are $14.50-$37 including tax and services charges. Tickets are subject to an additional $4 per order fee for online purchases.
Meet and greet at 6pm with the show starting at 7:30pm.
