Free Diversity Spotlight film screening and Canadian premiere of the international award-winning Nollywood film, The Mirror Boy. The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

Bud and his grandson-in-law Paul are going on a road trip from Calgary to Bud's retirement trailer in Mesa, Arizona. Paul is hoping the adventure of the trip will lift him out of his writer's block. Bud is hell-bent on visiting his favorite Motel 6 haunts along the way, and isn't willing to veer off the beaten path.
Written by Canadian playwright Doug Curtis, Mesa follows these unlikely travel companions as their often comic disagreements make way for a heartfelt friendship.

"Five Minutes to Curtain" is about the journey of a young woman diagnosed with leukemia. Rather than focusing on the illness and
hospital visits, her story revolves around her everyday experiences – with her disease as the backdrop and her life as the spotlight.
Tickets are $15 advance and $20 at the door. Showtime is 7:30pm with a 4pm matinee on Feb 27. Proceeds will benefit the Canadian Cancer Society.
