Free Diversity Spotlight film screening and Canadian premiere of the international award-winning Nollywood film, The Mirror Boy. The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

After a tragic accident claims the life of their 4-year-old son, the Corbetts are forced to do the impossible- overcome and move on. The winner of several awards, including the Prize for the Best Canadian Artist at the Montreal International Musical Competition’s 2008 Piano edition, the 2nd Prize at the Missouri Southern International Piano Competition in 2006, and the 1st Prize at the City of Porto International Music Competition, Sergei Saratovsky is an exceptional young pianist.
This Vancouver artist has already given several concerts in Russia (his homeland), Portugal, the United States, and Canada. A dazzling musical journey… a consummate pianist!
Works by Mozart, Chopin, Debussy and Schumann.
A 'Jeunesses Musicales' production.
