Free Diversity Spotlight film screening and Canadian premiere of the international award-winning Nollywood film, The Mirror Boy. The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

Scotia Brass presents The Music of Giovanni Gabrieli

Recreating the late 16th century Renaissance in St Andrew’s United Church, Scotia Brass will perform the antiphonal music of Giovanni Gabrieli. Several pieces from the Sacrae Symphoniae (1597)as well as other Gabrieli works have been adapted by Jeffrey Stern for the modern
brass ensemble. Scotia Brass will perform these works in two antiphonal choirs, filling St Andrew’s with the glorious sounds of Venice.
Tickets are $5 each. Proceeds will support Halifax Housing Help. The concert begins at 7pm.

The Music Room Chamber Music Society Concert

The Music Room Chamber Music Society will hold a concert entitled "Mixed Doubles". The concert will feature works such as Schubert's Fantasie in F mimor, Op 103 and Poulenc's Sonatine for Piano Duet Moskowski Suite for Two Violins and Piano and other works by Brahms and Chopin.
Tickets are $15 adults and $10 students and seniors. the concert begins at 7pm.
