Free Diversity Spotlight film screening and Canadian premiere of the international award-winning Nollywood film, The Mirror Boy. The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

Based upon the original series founded in Toronto by award-winning dance artist Claudia Moore, Live Art Dance Productions will host an opportunity for audiences to share in the creative process with five of Nova Scotia’s most established choreographers. Employing Ms. Moore’s skills as a facilitator and outside eye, Penny Evans Spicer, Sheilagh Hunt, Veronique MacKenzie, Louise Mussett, and Gwen Noah will engage each other in artistic exchange prior to a series of presentations. Public workshops, critical dialogue, performances and a party – these are the essential ingredients of Older and Reckless Halifax!!
