Natal Day is the annual birthday celebration of the communities of Halifax and Dartmouth. It is a time where citizens, tourists celebrate our civic holiday. The Alexander Keith's Natal Day Festival traditionally consists of parade, free breakfast, live entertainment, festival tents, sporting events, talent show, major concerts, family activities and the biggest, most elaborate Harbour Barge Fireworks display of the year.

The Nova Scotia Kiwanis Music Festival gives participants extraordinary possibilities for performing, learning, and sharing this musical experience with an unrivalled group of national artists and educators: our panel of adjudicators. Likewise the general public will have the opportunity to be enriched as each of our venues fills with the sounds wonderful live music - everything from baroque recorder to original composition.
The competition will take place from April 10-25 and bands from May 4-6.

Trevor and Susannah, whose marriage is on the rocks, inflict their miseries on their nearest and dearest, three couples whose own realtionships are tenuous at best. Taking place sequentially in the three beleaguered couples' bedrooms during one endless Saturday night of codependence and dysfunction, beds, tempers and domestic order are ruffled, leading all the players to hilariously touching epiphany.
Tickets are $15 adults and $12 students/seniors.
This play runs Thursdays to Saturdays only.

Atlantic Band Festival's mission is to provide a valuable musical and social experience for every performer and teacher. Within the fun and educational atmosphere participants are inspired to grow musically and perform to the best of their abilities.
The beautiful campus of Mount Saint Vincent University is host to this, the largest band and choral festival on the east coast. Each year, approximately 3000 musicians from Canada and the United States perform for and receive adjudication from internationally recognized adjudicators. Evening concerts, instrument specific clinics, workshops and participants' dances are all part of the event.
