Free Diversity Spotlight film screening and Canadian premiere of the international award-winning Nollywood film, The Mirror Boy. The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

Celtic Thunder in Concert

Chart-topping Irish show Celtic Thunder will feature songs from its latest CD and DVD It’s Entertainment! at The Metro Centre at 7:30pm.
Vocalists Damian McGinty, Ryan Kelly, Keith Harkin, Neil Byrne, George Donaldson and Paul Byrom of Celtic Thunder bring together 30 years of classics and a different take on current hits from Fred Astaire to Neil Diamond, Jim Croce to Chicago and Michael Buble to The Beach Boys.
Since the show launched in 2007, Celtic Thunder has released four albums, including its debut self-titled record, Act Two, Take Me Home and It’s Entertainment! The show has also released three performance DVDs, including Celtic Thunder: The Show, Take Me Home and It’s Entertainment! and two PBS specials, one of which was released this year.
