Free Diversity Spotlight film screening and Canadian premiere of the international award-winning Nollywood film, The Mirror Boy. The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

Held in Halifax, Fall for Flamenco is Canada's main flamenco festival eagerly awaited each year by finger-twirling, foot stomping, lamenting singing and intricate guitar fans all over the country. This unique
artistic event promises everything flamenco including free concerts and performances by local and guest artists as well as beginner and advanced
workshops. Opening October 2nd with a special 5th Anniversary Night Extravaganza featuring live tango, flamenco and a salsa dance party, the festival runs for two weeks until October 20th. Directly from Seville, La Zambra will be performing on October 14 and 15. Feel the passion,fall for flamenco.

The exhibition reveals the strength and resilience of Vietnamese Canadians and is the first of its kind in Nova Scotia.

The Geary St. Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Dartmouth. Veterans of the Battle of Waterloo are buried in the cemetery. Experience DaPoPo Theatre at the Geary St. Cemetery by enjoy a horse drawn wagon ride, sponsored by MacPhee, from Alderney Landing to the cemetery where you’ll be greeted by the cemetery’s groundskeeper who will tell you tales of the cemetery’s residents. If you’re lucky you might even get to meet a few of them.
