The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, a dramatic reading with musical interludes and dance. This event will be performed in Victorian costume as a benefit concert for the Bella Rose Art Centre supporting the arts in our
community.
Rediscover the fine art of storytelling in the company of the ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future, and even the inveterate old humbug
himself, Ebenezer Scrooge. Revisit Charles Dickens' classic tale of rebirth and redemption in this family friendly feast for the senses. Crafted by one of England's greatest literary minds, "A Christmas Carol" has become a cherished yuletide favourite the all over the world.
Of Special Note: This year we are delighted to be able to serve the deaf community through American Sign Language, English Interpreters for the deaf and hard of hearing.

9th Annual Portia White Award Gala Concert

Join the Dalhousie Medical School Chorale & Ensembles and the Sackville Community Concert Band, for the ninth annual Portia White Award Gala Concert in support of the Nova Scotia Talent Trust.
Everything the Dalhousie Medical School Chorale does is for charity, and this concert is no exception. The event raises funds for The Portia White Award, a music scholarship of the Nova Scotia Talent Trust for a promising voice student. The Nova Scotia Talent Trust was established in 1944, principally to assist the Nova Scotia contralto, Portia White, to train for what became a legendary career. Since then, the Talent Trust has awarded over 1,600 scholarships to Nova Scotia artists in dance, music, theatre, visual arts, literary arts, and film totaling over $1.5 million.
Promising to be a great show, the concert will feature a wide variety of musical selections including music from classical to pop, ensemble groups, seasonal selections and the stirring finale with both the Chorale and the Concert Band together.
Tickets are $15 and concert time is 7:30pm.
