Free Diversity Spotlight film screening and Canadian premiere of the international award-winning Nollywood film, The Mirror Boy. The Mirror Boy explores identity within the African Diaspora through the story of 12-year-old, London-born Tijani's enchanting journey through The Gambia, following "the mirror boy," who only he can see. Introduction and Q&A session with the film's Writer and Director Obi Emelonye. Presented in partnership with the African Diaspora Association of the Maritimes and the Nova Scotia-Gambia Association. This film is rated PG and is presented in English. Event Time: 7-10 p.m.

Dorothy Gale dreams of what lies over the rainbow from her Kansas farm. When a twister carries her away to magical world, she must find the Wizard to get back home. Travel down the yellow brick road and beyond with Dorothy and friends for this memorable production.

LEGO-City by the Sea

For the holidays, the museum has recently opened LEGO – City by the Sea from the Nova Scotia LEGO Users Group. Try your hand at operating a train or monorail, find and count the twelve tall ships and find Harry Potter, Count Dracula and SpongeBob Squarepants among the city landscape, which includes a modern-day Naval dockyard.

Family New Year's Eve at Canada Games Oval

The Trews in Concert

"A" New Year's Eve

Halifax’s favourite New Year’s Eve show is back again this year with the same high-energy event that New Year’s Eve revellers have come to expect. “A” New Year’s Eve Program will start at 9:30 pm with live entertainment from the stage and the TV Show going live to air at 10pm.
This year, the BT New Year's Eve event will pay tribute to the 2011 Halifax Canada Winter Games by recognizing the many athletes, volunteers, supporters and citizens who will help to make this the best Canada Winter Games ever.
Hosted by Breakfast Television personalities.
BT New Year’s Eve Show takes place in the Halifax Grand Parade, and is broadcast in its entirety on channel "A", December 31 from 10pm to 12:10am.
This year's exciting entertainment features Telfer, The Stanfields,Matt Andersen, Jimmy Rankin, Gordie Sampson.
