Sue the T.Rex. at the Museum of Natural History

The world's most famous dinosaur, a T. REX named Sue, will soon roam the Museum of Natural History in Halifax.
It is the first Canadian museum to host the exhibition, which showcases the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton ever discovered. More than 10 million people have seen Sue during the tour, which has visited museums all over the world, most recently in Kuwait.

Come out to Pier 21 this winter and discover how skating has become a part of our national identity! Just in time for the 2011 Canada Winter Games, Pier 21 is proud to bring an exhibition to Halifax that tells the story of one of the oldest and most popular recreational and sporting activities in the country.
Lace Up explores the history and importance of skating in Canada and gives a glimpse of three major ice sports: figure skating, speed skating and hockey, of course!
Lace Up: Canada’s Passion for Skating will be open to the public from January 15 to March 27.

Discovery Centre presents "Play"

Discovery Centre will open an innovative new travelling exhibition, "Play", which challenges visitors to test their group skills by playing giant clubhouse-style games like foosball and billiards.
"Play" allows visitors to experience social dynamics such as empathy, cooperation and effective communications -all timely and important skills in our world today.
Visitors literally become part of the experience by becoming the ‘game piece’ of a foosball table to explore the importance of individual expression. A unique bowling experience gives visitors the chance to move together down the alley to achieve different outcomes, which demonstrates the power of group support. Other game experiences include an oversized dominos set that teaches teamwork and a giant die that communicates common ideals in many languages.

A Victorian-Era Winter

Historic Winter at Halifax Citadel National Historic Site Parks Canada invites you to experience a glimpse of a Victorian-era winter at the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. Grab your hat, mitts and camera and explore a 19th century fort in the centre of Halifax. You won't want to miss the view from the top or the historic noon gun fired daily since 1856!
Open daily from 10am-2pm. Admission is FREE!
Starting February 21 to 26, join us for special activities including rifle firing, guided tours and re creation of historic hockey with the 78th Highland Regiment skating within the walls of the fort (weather
permitting).
Parks Canada is pleased to offer this new winter experience at the Halifax Citadel in celebration of 100 years as the world's first national park service!.
All visitors should enter the site through our back parking lot entrance, facing Ahern Avenue, as the front gate is currently closed for stonework.

Written in 1978, Deathtrap holds the record for the longest running comedy-thriller on Broadway. A once famous author begins a murderous plan to steal a sure fire script and get himself back on Broadway. Sounds simple, but events begin to unfold that reveal startling and unimaginable ulterior motives. The "trap" part of the play's title rises to the forefront and before long audiences will be on the edge of their seats in laughter, fear and anticipation.
