Titanic Events
From concerts and theatrical performances, museum and virtual exhibits, to tours and culinary experiences, art and literature, we honour our Halifax Titanic connections in many touching and significant ways that embrace our culture and history.
The 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic is one of many significant historic milestones being marked in 2012. This year will also see the 200th anniversary of the war of 1812, the 225th birthday of Samuel Cunard (whose world reknowned Cunard shipping line competed against and later merged with Titanic’s White Star line in the 1930’s), the relaunch of the famous Bluenose II schooner, the return of the popular Tall Ships Festival, and the 25th anniversary of Halifax Pride. Explore a multitude of Halifax events and festivals that bring out the best in Nova Scotia's culture.
